Khao Lak Day 1

Today was the most relaxing day of break so far. We woke up and had breakfast at the hotel before embarking on the long journey to the beach....all 475 steps of it. From the window of our room we can see the Andaman Sea through several lines of palm trees. A short two minute walk from our room brings us to the beach, and our hotel provides padded beach lounge chairs and umbrellas. There is even a restaurant, bar, and massage place on the beach as well. We were relaxing on the beach by 10am, and spent the day playing in the ocean, walking along the beach, or reading. Despite the one child we saw who was around 7 years old, Tammy and I were the youngest people at the beach. Most of the beach-goers appear to be retired Germans over the age of 60. We took naps in the afternoon before grabbing some dinner. We
Walked on the beach both to and from dinner, and got to see some later a being lit and sent off into the air in the distance.
