Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park was a pretty cool experience. It was nice to be back in the forest and it was pretty interesting to compare Chitwan to the national parks I have visited in the United States. While walking around the trails on our first day I noticed that there was a lot of trash on the sides of the trails which was upsetting to see in such a beautiful park. The next day we got to ride on elephants through the park and even saw a rhino that had recently been in a fight and had blood on its neck and behind. Later on we went for a canoe ride on a river with crocodiles sunbathing on the riverbed. We must have seen at least 20 of them and the whole time we were on the water everyone was worried about flipping and figuring out an escape route if that happened. After surviving the canoe ride we walked through the forest with our guide and saw some spotted deer and various birds. We spent the nights around a campfire at the hotel. The nights have been pretty cold, especially in the more southern parts of Nepal that we have been in lately, so the fires have been great to spend time around.
